Online fax provider, Faxage, announced that they recently added direct Microsoft Office integration to their platform. This integration allows users to fax directly from the “Internet Fax Service” feature found in Microsoft Office 2003 and above. This is in addition to the standard email, website and API faxing mechanisms Faxage currently offers.
Faxage announced they added Rochester, NY to their coverage area. Customers can get local number inbound fax services.
By adding the Rochester metropolitan area, which includes Rochester, East Rochester, and Fairport, Faxage covers 47 major metropolitan markets and surrounding areas.
Greensboro, NC is the latest addition to Faxage’s local number inbound FAX services coverage area. The company now serves nearly 64,000 exchanges in the United States with local fax numbers due to this expansion.
Faxage announced today that they added additional security features to their platform to meet regulatory compliance with various standards such as HIPAA, SOX and GLB. Customer demands have made additional security a key requirement.
Some of the fax services company’s security measures include incoming faxes using password-protected SSL links to be delivered instead of the actual fax content or PGP encryption to be utilized to protect the fax content. Email transport layer security (TLS/SSL) is also offered for server-to-server transport encryption. In addition, outgoing faxes are secured by utilizing PGP to encrypt the content or by utilizing their email server transport layer security.
Faxage announced today that they have expanded their local online fax service in Utah. The company now serves both the 801 and 435 area codes.
Raleigh, NC has been added to Faxage’s online fax service coverage area. The company announced today that users in Raleigh can finally sign up for local number inbound fax services through them. With this addition, Faxage covers 45 major metropolitan markets and surrounding areas.

Online fax service is becoming more and more economical. Faxage announced today that they decreased the price on two of their small business fax service plans, the Toll-Free 500 plan and Toll-Free 1000 plan.
They are hoping this move will help them compete for clients with moderate to high faxing needs.
